So I was going through some old screenshots and stumbled on this little gem I didn't even know I screenshoted. Pretty funny actually looking back, remembering this was basically your average raid.
The image pretty much speaks for itself! Just another raid for paladins :) I think I brought up the concept of "not overaggroing the tanks" maybe 10 times, but it never seemed to sink in. Tips like "watching omen" or "give tanks a few seconds before popping trinkets and doing maxnuke with all your classcooldowns" went in one ear and out the other.
To be fair though, this was only an issue on trash, never really on any boss. Anyway I doubt I'll convince anyone who already think me and other paladins in Nihilum were total shit etc, and I doubt this will surprise anyone who didn't buy that stupid criticism either. So this is not some kind of argument in that OLD (yawn) discussion, but merely a fun old screenshot I just dug up I wanted to share for the lols. :)
Paragon killed LK 25 HC for the third time yesterday. Still no second guild in the world who killed him yet. Impressive. But when the hell will we see another guild kill him? the 10% buff has been out allready and guilds have 40 tries per week. Meanwhile paragons LK 25 hc movie is allready done and ready, just waiting..
"Yup, we are hope for a second kill as well! The video has been ready long enough :)"
Who else just want any random guild in the world to kill LK 25 hc now with the 10% buff JUST so the rest of us can enjoy the movie from Paragon? ;) Raise your hand! (there are 201 (!!!) guilds working on lk 25 hc atm - http://www.wowprogress.com/ )
btw, found this awesome soothing song a few days ago.
Paragon world first Lich King 25 Heroic nerdscreams
Not that i'm too excited about the pve race anymore. IMO the real pve race died when they introduced things like gating in sunwell, to slow down the progress of endgame guilds. But anyway, for what it's worth, gz to Paragon! A finnish only guild that is relatively young that really started out around Ulduar times. Mby me being half finnish made me slightly more glad they got it, who knows.
Since this is the last boss in WOTLK (that i think will matter, i wont count on the dragonbosses coming later. if i change my mind I'll make a new updated blogentry about this), I want to make a personal recap of who I think did the best in the PvE race, based on actual kills. As a quick explanation how i judge progress: I think showing dominance over the "normal" bosses is a good SIGN of skill. However, killing the hardest boss in each dungeon, usually the endboss, is the real pointer as to what guild is the best in the world at that point in time.
For example, Paragon has completely DOMINATED the ICC 25 HC progress. But IF another guild, say Ensidia, would've got ICC 25 HC Lich King world first, then there would be alot of people who would say "ye paragon was doing well on the "easier" bosses, but Ensidia showed they are the best guild in the world by killing the hardest boss" and they would basically be right, or at least have a very good point. For I also believe that what shows who the best guild is, is who kills the currently hardest encounter. This can be argued against, but this is at least my opinion. Ok here we go!
1. Wotlk Launches, and we got naxx + sarth malygos available. Who's the winner here? It's a tough choice between Method and Ensidia. Ensidia showing dominance over all content that was available once they reached 80. But was the killing of this content a proof of their skill, or proof of them being first guild to 80? IMO it's the latter. The only real hard encounter that was released and available once players hit 80 was Sartharion 3d 10 man, and Method got this kill world first. Some say against this reasoning that "10 man is serious business, who cares" but on the other hand, IF the hardest fight can be found in a 10 man raid, isn't that where the battle would be for what guild is the best in the world? IMO yes it is.
Method wins here but only barely.
2. Ulduar. Again here it's worth considering, what bosses should count? What's the real endboss in Ulduar? As you might remember, Ensidia got Yogg 4 watchers world first, and at that very moment it was a big thing. But as alot of other guilds got it down, and after people realising the difference between 4 watchers, and for example 0 watchers, they started wondering. Anyway moving on from that, Ensidia continued with a nice killing streak and got Algalon world first aswell. Now they were arguable the best guild in the world for showing such dominance in progress. But what happens next? There's silence, nothing happens.. and then SUDDENLY, out of nowhere, a chinese guild called Stars surprises the world and brings the world first Yogg 0 watchers. Now here's some drama, on one hand, you have the "ensidia is excused cause they didnt bother trying yogg 0" argument. and on the other, you have the "well bohoo, if you dont try you cant win and hence you loose by your own fault". Ensidia fanboys and ensidia haters argued alot about this. (Worth noting here is also that this is the point in time where Paragon shows it's face in endgame raiding for the first time, doing the world 2nd and eu 1st yogg 0 kill.)
Stars wins here. They didn't show dominance on the other bosses, but they did do an impressive world first kill in what is actually the hardest boss in Ulduar, Yogg 0.
3. TotGC. At first people thought killing Twins HC was pretty good. But turns out, the only real challenge in this instance is killing Anub HC.
Paragon wins here, simply by killing Anub 25 HC world first
4. Icecrown Citadel. No argument here. By dominating the HC progress and delivering the world first 25 HC Lich King, they have proved without a doubt they are the best guild in the world.
Paragons wins here.
Ok, to sum it up. When it comes down to impressive performance, WOTLK has been about Ensidia, Method, Stars and last but not least Paragon.
The true best guild of WOTLK is rightfully Paragon.
That's it for todays blog, hope you enjoyed reading it, and please put up your opinion in the comment section!
In this entry I'm not going to say something myself, but instead let the words of Carl Sagan speak for themselves. My blog is humble with only a couple of hundred readers, but if any of his words will inspire any of you readers it will bring me joy.
From the videoclip below:
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe:, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.
Another fitting videoclip showing the known universe and our place in it:
I'd like to show a couple of cool videos for you. I uploaded them yesterday to youtube, and its very old wow movies, 3-4 years old.
First video is created by Bambi of recipe for hate, my old guild!
I just LOVE how that guy gets chased down the cliff and dies :D makes me laugh every time, its so fitting with the partymusic and all. <3
Next video is Recipe for hate, or Ad Noctum as we later called ourselves, killing Nihilum players and other horde.
And finally a video showing us in Ad Noctum wiping a hordeguild at Kazzak and then killing Kazzak. Major lag when our two raids clashed, and lots of aoe damage :D notice the 4-5 consecrations done by our paladins, and me at the charge yelling "FREEDOM!!!" lol :P
Oh the good old world pvp days. Sad to think of todays situation on Magtheridon with next to zero alliance and very long BG queues. Hopefully things get better to Cataclysm. If it doesnt, I might even consider transfering to another server with other Raunchy players. I need the pvp aspect of the game to have fun in it really.
Wow guys. Think i've just read the biggest DISS of myself on the internets ive ever seen. It's Buzzkill, warlock of ensidia and of old Nihilum who writes about those people he think sucked during nihilum times and how they sucked according to him. regardless if you believe him or not, like him or not, still worth a read. I was both a bit shocked and at the same time i laughed a bit.
The tone of the blog really made me remember old Nihilum vent where buzzkill was the one who spoke the most.
As I'm sitting here writing this, i'm pondering, should i actually reply to every single point he's making of me? There's alot of things he's said. BoP on "K". Dying twice on archimonde. Not boping dps on Hyjal trash. Uh.. I think he also seemed to blame me for our failure on muru :D lets see..
"He was our tanking hero on Felmyst and one of the most important players on M'uru, so yeah the fact we failed miserably there is not surprising to me, thinking back on it. I mean, if you want to fail on an encounter, put an imbecile on an important duty. The worst part was we honestly had no other choice."
Hmm.. I guess our shamans being afk (as soon as we got our shamanteam back we killed muru in 1 evening. Ghorok and bananeen went afk during the time when the gate before muru opened) and our hunters not being able to perform the Misdirect tactic had nothing to do with it then. Guess I tanked the adds on muru so bad we failed to get world first. MKAY.
gah part of me want to go through every single silly line he wrote and "defend" myself, cause honestly its so much bullshit most people have no idea how it REALLY was in Nihilum. Buzzkill likes to put on the role of the spokesman of the guild. But it doesnt mean he's right :) I guess I can offer to answer single questions, in the comments and ingame. AMA (ask me anything) and you will get the TRUE version of what happened :)
I guess for now though I can answer a few of the points.. In no particular order. Here we go:
"BOP on K" Yepp very true. Me denying it is false though. I donno about you guys but i find "K" very easy to reach. I move my indexfinger about 6 cm. Thats not hard to do, and it wasnt a problem for me. In every single bossfight where a BOP was required i did it without problem (Illidan for example, and Felmyst before our tanks learned how the threat worked :P ). Nowadays I have BOP on "F". Better for PVP. But no diff for pve.
If i shall be honest, and damnit i will be :P, the problem in nihilum was that the dps didnt care about threat. You know, OMEN.
They just wanted to win the dps meters, to show themselves worthy of being in the guild, being the best warlock/mage/whatever. I COULD say that tankthreat was bad sometimes, but honestly if tankthreat is bad, then a smart DPS lower his dps. So maybe tankthreat was bad sometimes, it doesnt excuse DPS overaggroing IMO. However this issue was really only during trash. our DPS overaggroed ALOT during trash. There could be like 3-4 overaggros per minute at worst, and when paladins have 3 min cd on BOP, and we are 3 paladins, that means 1 BOP per minute on average. With 1 BOP per minute avail, and 3-4 overaggroes per minute, you can do the math. Paladins in Nihilum were basically like what Jews are to some IRL - We are to blame for everything. For the ignorant that is ofc.
I think this was the key issue among nihilum players who blame our paladins for this and that: They didnt understand how the class worked. Most didnt have a paladinalt, and none had endgame healingexperience with one. A good example of this was when zooki (buzzkillz buddy) joined a Black temple run on his holy paladin. I watched him (had him on focustarget) and after the Illidan fight, he asked me on vent or in gchat i cant remember: "How come i'm an alt and i healed more than you?" I replied "Cause you topped people off while i healed the tanks" Also this way of thinking is something bananen had. Ofc bananen being a shaman, he loves the healingmeters, and if he's top, hes doing a good job. So far so good. but when me and him discussed my performance one day, he made a case that i was a bad paladin cause my healing done was low. Thats the kind of ignorance that was well spread in Nihilum.
Ofc ppl with a brain knows that tankhealers allways do worse on healing done than raidhealers. (unless its a special type of fight like patchwerk). So how was I as a tankhealer? Well tankhealing isnt really that hard. But as a tankhealer I was very good. I did my job as good as any paladin couldve done it. Buzzkills ranting about me being "the 2nd worst paladin ever in Nihilum" is pure bullshit. But tbh i'm not sure if he's lying or just ignorant. I think he's ignorant, but i could be wrong, and he might lie for entertainment purpose. Because, as people who know buzzkill knows, if it's one thing buzzkill loves to do it's to diss people in an entertaining way (humor). "You fucking retard you suck so much go die" and a thousand versions of that sentence was heard regularly on vent. Sometimes it was meant, sometimes it was a joke and not meant.
Back to the topics brought up. Lets see whats next..
"sadly I don't think he ever got kicked, but was one of the people we left behind at the merge. "
False. First I quit Nihilum after arguing with Kungen, then i got invited back and stayed as member for a while. Talked to kungen again about some stuff i really thought was important to fix about the guild. He listened but didnt do anything about it. I left shortly after when i realised the problems wouldnt get fixed. Basically this was at a time where Nihilum as a guild had failed in Sunwell, and stuff needed to be done if we wanted to be the best guild in the world again. Well you all know the story, Nihilum died and a new guild, Ensidia, was formed with some people from old nihilum and some from old sk (curse). I however quit way before the merge, about 1-2 months before.
"On top of all of that he couldn't concentrate when anyone spoke on vent about anything. Hell, that guy failed in a 5 man because someone was telling jokes on vent."
I'm allmost ashamed of myself for laughing at this sentence. regardless of what you think of buzzkill, most people would agree he's pretty funny. Anyway, as for the facts: FALSE. I had np concentrating during jokes on vent. During muru progress however, we as a raid was doing stupid mistakes. And doing these stupid mistakes while buzzkill and zooki took turns doing jokes and laughed at eachothers jokes (and their own). As a thinking human being, i knew this wasnt optimal. We were behind in progress, SK gaming had killed Muru many days ago. People weren't focused. Now, back in these days, Kungen wasnt on vent. So he didnt know how it sounded like. So finally I had enough and told Kungen in public that we need to chill with vent and focus on raiding. Now this was deeply offensive to buzzkill. Don't think ive ever seen him more upset. Makes sense though as he's after all the ventrilo king and ventrilo was his home. Who was I to tell him he couldnt joke around anymore? yeah so, my attempt to fix vent to be more focused did NOT work. And looking back, i really wish Kungen wouldve raidleaded on ventrilo. It's more effective than text. Today as you might know, Ensidia uses vent for raidleading. Thats one more thing that i wanted to fix with Nihilum that was not fixed. In time.
"At the time their leader and sensei was GD, 2nd worst pala to grace us with his presence since Ramberg"
I don't mean to sound harsh but, problem is Buzzkill has no skills to judge a good paladin from a bad one. He simply doesnt know. We did have some bad paladins in Nihilum though, but I'm not gonna point fingers. But even the bad paladins we had knew more about the paladinclass than buzzkill and other whiners. A few of those paladins that did best are JohnnyR, me, Gaap and Mithriel. Nessaj I heard was good but I never really played with him so I wont judge. If I had to rank myself I'd put myself up in the top 3. When it came to classknowledge I was probaly THE best paladin Nihilum ever had. But a ranklist like this is hard to verify with facts so.
Damnit.. another one of my long blogs.. lol..
Lets take another one.. gotta read his blog again..
Cant find anything special.. Should I really comment the thing about my 1300 rating team? :D Ok sure.
"Worst Nihilum PvP team of TBC: GD, Etienne, Nealina
Hundreds of games to sustain that revered 1300 rating, worst team award goes to GD's team of awesome"
Can't believe im answering this one. But who knows, mby one of you readers out there actually believe i got 1300 rating with hundreds of games played? Fact: FALSE. think we played 7 games or something. The team was already somewhere around 1300 rating and was inactive. It was just one of those things you do when you're bored late one night. "wanna do some 3s? can take my old team, arent using it anymore" "sure" .. after 7 games "boring, lets quit" "ok" ... later that week/month "buzzkill: lolol have you seen gd etiennes nealinas team? really pro 1300 rating omg" .. and from there we can read the rest in buzzkills blog! =)
Ok enough of that bullshit now.
Basically my message to anyone reading this, if you want to know the truth, you can read my blog and/or ask me. You wont get the truth from buzzkills blog. You will however get some lols i gotta give him that. As for the question if buzzkill is lying or ignorant, i dont know, i think its a mix of both. Buzzkill is an entertainer and if he has to use some lies or unverified facts to entertain his crowd - he will.
BTW isnt it too fucking cold?! wtb spring.. mmm.. sun shining.. 20 degrees..
Oh, I allmost forgot. As a bonus, I'm linking the famous "GDGDGDGD" Video here. But now with the proper context! So what do we see in the video really?
Well, the video is recorded by Shurko, a warlock that was with Nihilum at that time. It's showing one of our tries on twins in a progressraid. The way you wipe the raid is if you get conflag, but dont move away from the raid in time. You basically have max 1sec to react. In this try I didnt react at all, but stood still and healed Buzzkill which was our warlock tank for this fight. I did fuck up! No excuses there. Why did I fuck up? Well the main reason was that, the way threat works on this fight is, we have certain people who allways get conflag. Mainly ranged dps. However during this particular try, I as a healer got threat enough for conflag and got it. I wasnt prepared for it and was just focusing on healing buzzkill nothing else, hence i fucked up. But normally this situation never happens, and it never happened again basically, mby 1-2 times more during all the time we farmed sunwell. But I aced those conflags without a problem.
The guy shouting in the video is Ghorok. Was a shaman classleader In Nihilum at that time. The one fact I like most about this video is that what people dont know is that a few tries after this video is shot, or maybe even the try after, Ghorok himself gets conflag and FUCKS IT UP :D after that he got VERY silent on vent. And btw he didnt only whine on me like he does in the video, In total I think we had like 15 people failing on conflag (thats the majority of the raid). And he whined on most of them :) Btw we DID get world first on twins :P
Anyway here it is, me fucking up on twins:
Until next time, take care, and remember: "The truth shall set you free"
Back when I did my military training, we had competitions for who was the best shooter with the standard 5,56 mm rifle AK5 and I was among the very best. Then when we learned to handle the 7,62 mm machinegun i was again among the best. Probably cause I love machineguns and firearms and love to shoot with them. Theres one machinegun I havent had the chance to shoot with though, the most powerful machinegun in the world - The Minigun, or Gatlinggun. There are a couple of different versions of the gatlinggun. 5,56 mm, 7,62 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm. The gatling guns using the smaller rounds are used manually by soldiers in a chopper for example, while the heavier ones are mounted on apache helicopters or A10 warthogs.
"Smaller" one:
Here is a big one, probably 30 mm, mounted on a ship to defend against incoming missiles and aircrafts:
And my favourite, 30 mm mounted on a A10:
OK so now for my top 5 list of minigun moviescenes!
Number 5 - Point Blank. I donno what kind of scene this is, its a bit lol but some nice minigun footage :D
Number 4 - The sum of all fears. Really cool scene showing the 30mm i have a picture of above in action, defending a ship. Too bad that scene is only a few seconds, but those few seconds are really awesome.
Number 3 - Terminator 2. Hey its arnold. With a minigun. Doesnt get any better. Allmost..!
Number 2 - Black Hawk Down. Nice minigun action :)
And finally, the coolest minigun scene in movies IMO... *drumroll*
Number 1 - Predator. Cause chopping trees with a minigun is awesome.
Oh and as a bonus, for those who doubt you can chop trees with a minigun, Mythbusters comes in and sets things straight!
In closing, about dingblog being hacked. Shit happens. We lost blogentries, but lets just hope Marilyn has learned his lesson of security and backup now :)
Merry christmas everyone. And btw if you're gonna give me a christmas gift, give me a minigun. Nom nom.
According to my blog archive, my last blog had 5 comments, and 0 (!!!) views. So assuming that each comment (5) created atleast 1 view, then i guess dingblog is buged. still. but that means i cant check how many reads my blog, which sucks. Don't wanna write blogs that noone reads.
But today just cause im bored ill write a few random thoughts i have on wow topics!
* Wow pve race - well i've said it long time ago, it's dead. boring. not interesting. But i still want to hand some small cred to two guilds, Paragon and Stars. gj 2u!
* remember all the "drama" that came with sunandsteels blog? i didnt participate in it, i just stood by and watched it. Didn't really comment, except to a few people, non-publically. personally i'm not much for drama. I dont see much point. if theres a problem, you fix it or live with it. Drama is mostly based on stupidity, ignorance and lies. There's truth and theres lies. Find out whats what, and you got your answer. Nothing mystical about it.
So some months ago, kungen openly admited on a forum that lady vash buged for nihilum and because of the bug, nihilum got an easy kill (by a priest using SS, ressing and doing a shadowword:death) a short time after that, method killed lady vash. And after that, the "drama" between nihilum and method started, with method claiming to get the world first legit kill, while nihilum ridiculed them and that claim (remember, at this point, nihilum had not said officially that this kill was done with a bug)
I just found this intresting since kungen has often claimed that nihilum got every world first on "any major boss" from cthun and up to illidan. That is ofc not the case since nihilum didnt get world first on lady vash - no more than exodus got the world first yogg 0 watchers kill. lols.
Not trying to build a case if anyone think that, this is just a random thought i had some time ago. Theres so much stuff that happens behind the scenes that the fanboys dont know about :) and yeah btw, the fact that nihilum used this lady vash bug to get a kill was something i got told very early by a nihilum member who had been in nihilum much longer than me. It was well known in nihilum, but it was kept to ourselves. So I kept it to myself, I didnt tell anyone outside the guild. and if kungen hadnt said it himself on that forum (think it was ensidia.com not sure) then i wouldnt have said it today in this blog either. Theres much more stuff that i wont say either.
Not trying to diss nihilum as a guild though, i had generally a good time there and atleast a handful of people in the guild were cool. A moment i remember with amusement was when nihilum got world first twins in sunwell, and everyone was refusing to belive we did it legit. At the forefront of the accusations of cheating was mackzter and mek (irony lols) who basically argued (if you can call it argue, when you dont use logic) that nihilum basically had to prove that we did it legit, or it wouldnt "count". So we ridiculed them for that in our twins movie. As im writing this, i seem tor ecall ive touched on the twins event before, so ill call it short now :P just find it funny how things change =)
Oh another thing that i chuckled at lately. Ive been last days asked by a couple of randoms
"are you awake from nihilum?"
"nope"
"someone said that on ensidia.com"
"i see :P"
2 things make me not surprised to hear that.
1: its from ensidia.com, where buzzkills "humorous" lies goes unchallenged :P
2: ensidia.com got thousands of fanboys who believe anything they say. while following kungens twitter. (sorry nessaj im not dissing your work on the site, gj and keep it up!)
So after hearing that i took a rare trip to ensidia.com to check out the origins of it, and found more examples of.. well call it ignorance, or lies, or humor :D factually wrong sentences either way :P and i ran into one of kungens earlier blogs where he talks about curses paladins versus nihilums paladins. He write something along the lines of "curses paladins were their strength - our paladins were our weekness" oh that hurt my feelings :< no not really. A guy further down the comments is one of few who got a clue. he refered to this blog, and said that the reasons nihilums holy paladins were low on healingmeters (and healingmeters is what kungen judged it on sadly) is that they didnt get to have shadowpriests in their group. And as those who played holy paladins during sunwell times remember, having fully hastestacked gear without a shadowpriest meant going oom very fast. As I am a intelligent guy who is into math, as soon as the haste stat was introduced by blizzard, i did some math on it for holy paladins, and realised that haste was for pure HPS the best stat. This was known very early for me, probably earlier than curses paladins and most other paladins and healers in the world. However, mana doesnt last forever. So i did calculations on mana efficiency and found that without a shadowpriest, its a big mistake to stack haste as a holy paladin.
Now here is where the good old nihilum raidsetup comes in. Kungen had a very strict, and kind of conservative idea of what the raid setup should look like (remember these were the times of partybuffs - not raidbuffs). Those who got shadowpriests were our shamans - to give them endless mana for CH spam, and casters - to give them endless mana for high dps. And so our restoshamans, at that time being mainly ghorok bananen and neg, performed very high. So did our casters, usually. (mages in sunwell being the sad exception)
We holy paladins knew we wouldnt get shadowpriest in our group. So we stacked the stat that was best to stack assuming you dont have a shadowpriest - spellpower. At one point johnnyr stacked crit to try that out, and to stopcast holy lights, but he found crit to be too much RNG and went spellpower just like ive been doing from the start. All is well, until we reach brutallus in sunwell. Thats when healers really get put to the test, healing up the massive tankdmg. And it is at this point, where I as paladinc lassleader gets questioned by kungen (after he apparently gets messaged about this by mackzter on irc or msn) "I heard our paladins suck? curse told me. why arent you stacking haste? shouldnt you be stacking haste?!"
At that moment im trying to remain calm and not get pissed at him and his (sorry) ignorance. So i calmly told him "kungen, we cant stack haste unless we get shadowpriest in our groups. Can you promis us to allways get shadowpriests?" He didnt give me an answer at that point. one important thing to note here is that, if i remember correctly about curses raidsetup (and i call them curse cause i cba to remember what their sponsor of the week was at that point - and curse was their coolest name sadly ) is that they played with 2-3 shadowpriests. We played with ONE. sometimes 2. Kungen was conservative with SP's though as he figured they had relativly low dmg and we didnt need the manareg to more than a few people (mainly the restoshamans)
So basically my question to him makes him realise he has to change the raidsetup to make the holy paladins stack haste. I bet he didnt like this. And in fact, he did NOT promise us paladins to get a shadowpriest. He did say that he would try to get maybe one of our paladins into a shadowpriest group - one some fights. (yay! zzz)
Is it obvious so far that this shit frustrated me at that point? :P if it was up to me, we wouldve had all holy paladins get shadowpriest, we wouldve put out MUCH MORE healing with that setup. And sorry but i REFUSE to take responsebility for our raidsetup and that nihilum paladins didnt get shadowpriests. It's simply not my fault :) And still to this day it seems, atleast up until he wrote that silly comment on his blog, he seems to be ignorant about these facts. ah well, guess its no big deal in the big picture, but the fact that tens of thousands of fanboys read his blog, and mby a couple of hundred people read mine - means theres gonna be a lot of ignorance out there. :D sadly!
Ok that was a long text about that. heres some shorter bits of texts about a couple of things:
Awake was at some point seen as the god of paladins (lol) and was at some point said by kungen to be the best paladin we ever had in nihilum (lolol), but awake didnt understand basic stat theorycrafting. And im not talking about going to EJ.com and believeing every word they say and copy their stats etc, but to actually USE YOUR BRAIN and think for yourself, how to optimize your characters performance in raids. Awake failed, becuase he was of the belief that paladins should have "balanced" stats. (to this day, thats one of the stupidest opinions ive run across from paladins in top guilds. Until i read the holy paladin guide on ensidia.com - but nevermind that) and by that he was even refering to gems. He was for mixing sp, int and even MP5 gems (which was totally shit back then). Where as I, at that point when i had that discussion with him, which was during BT times, i told him going full SP is the best, because we didnt run oom (and back then you could spampot manapots). he refused to agree with me. problem was though that awake allways got the best healingloot first, both spellplate and some general healingitems like necks and maces. (he was known in nihilum for not only managing the dkp system - but also manipulating it to gain advantages for his own character)
I need to go very soon. As for me being awake - no i'm not. I don't want to talk too much trash about him, but I know some stuff he's been up to lately and he's still manipulating and scamming.
Here is awake a few years ago during a nihilum event:
He is the 2nd guy from the left. The guys in the picture are in order: ghorok, awake, kungen, Nme ( i think) and Rulah. Awake is a pretty small guy. I'm 182 cm and he's probably around 170 ish.
Here is me holding my pet rabbit, 5 years ago:
I know, rabbit looks scared! but he is ok. Or was ok.. I didnt kill him though ! natural death.. or so the autopsy said.... seriously though, he was one cute rabbit :)
Anyway signing off for now. Weird how my short blogs allways turn into long ones. Power of boredom mby.
